I hope you had a great start into the New Year and that it will turn out a successful one, filled with happiness and great moments.
Now to a sensitive topic for all of us, the admins and the members: Declined submissions
First of all let me say, that we don’t like to decline art and would like to reduce the amount of declined submissions to a minimum.
Here’s the good news: about 30% of art get declined because they were submitted into the wrong folder.
Another 20% because of what I’d call the 50 groups rule. It’s been decided a long time ago that, we won’t accept art which has been featured in 50 or even more groups. We want to expose artwork that isn’t already overfeatured.
To prevent declining from happening is the goal of this journal, which will specify some general things briefly
Most important of all is:
Digital Art belongs only into the Digital Art folder – including Photomanipulation, Digital portraits of people or animals, manga artworks….
Traditional Art belongs only into the Traditional Art folder – meaning Animal drawings, portrait drawings….
Literature only contains texts.
All other folders (People and Portraits, Body Parts, Animals, Wonderful Nature, Artistic Nude, Conceptual, Abstract and Surreal, Square, Cityscapes, Buildings and Structures, Macro and Still Life) are photography exclusive folders, meaning that any kind of Digital/Traditional Art will get declined if submitted there, though in most cases we will ask you to resubmit to the correct folder.
If you have more precise questions about a specific folder, please don’t hesitate and comment on this journal. We will do our best, to answer them asap.
